Need some advice…
I was in an accident this morning in which my car essentially got totaled. I do not have rental car insurance on my policy so I am currently without a car. It was suggested to me by my coworker that I should go ahead and get one anyway, then just push on the other driver’s carrier to pay for it. Although it was obviously the other driver’s fault, the report is not yet “officially” established fault.
Should I go out of pocket and hope that the other driver’s carrier will cover my costs for a rental car?

Their insurance should cover it if they’re at fault.

no way… fault must be established prior to incurring debt that you intend to file againist the other party. get a lawyer.
